Do you take televisions and/or other electronics?

We can accept televisions and other electronics from Kankakee County residents who bring a verified photo ID (Driver’s license or State ID).  Most residents can drop them off with no charge, but a small portion of residents may have to pay a $20 fee.

Do you take microwaves?

No.

Can you come pick up my scrap?

Belson does not do pick-ups for small amounts of metal.  However, Belson does have scrap roll-off boxes for large quantities of metal that can be delivered and picked up once filled.

Do you take paper, glass, cardboard, or plastic?

No, Belson only accepts scrap metal.

Do you buy cars or motorcycles?

Yes, Belson does purchase cars and motorcycles (with title) as scrap metal.  The price paid will be determined based on the weight of your vehicle.  However, all fluids must be drained before arriving at our yard.  In addition, we cannot take the tires.

Can I drive my scrap car or motorcycle in?

No, Belson requires that all fluids be drained from the vehicle before bringing it in to scrap.  Also, we cannot accept tires; therefore, those must also be removed.

I do not have a title for my car, can I still bring it in to scrap?

No, all vehicles and motorcycles being scrapped must include the title.

Do you sell car parts?

No, Belson does not sell car parts.

Do you take refrigerators?

Yes, however, all refrigerant must be appropriately reclaimed and have a certificate stating this to receive scrap payment.  Otherwise, there will be a $25 charge for each refrigerator.

Do you take air conditioner units?

Yes, however, all refrigerant must be appropriately reclaimed and have a certificate stating this to receive scrap payment.  Otherwise, there will be a $25 charge for each unit.

How will I be paid for my scrap?

Belson will pay for your scrap loads in cash or check, your choice!
